  • VIDAM - Tuesday, February 28
    VIDAM is Valley Improvisational Dance And Music. The aim is to create an open space where improvisational movement and music come together. It is NOT only a Contact Jam. VIDAM events are open to all who would like a focused creative space to move, stretch, relax, witness and listen in collaboration with others and with improvised sound. Each VIDAM session invites at least one veteran improvisational musician to feed the space with inspiration for movement, for expression, for surprise and delight. The guest artist for February 28th is Tony Silva.

  • Hartsbrook School Viennese Ball - Saturday, March 03
    The Hartsbrook School is excited to announce its annual Viennese Ball in the beautiful ballroom at the Center for the Arts. There will be waltzing instruction from 6-7pm before the formal dancing begins. We welcome everyone from 6th grade and above. Bring your friends and family! Tickets are $15 for students and $20 for adults with a maximum of $50 per family. Tickets can be purchased over the phone with a credit card by calling (413) 586-1908. We truly hope that you can join us for this wonderful evening of Viennese Ball, live music, and delicious Viennese desserts.

  • "What Is Dance?": A Performance for Preschoolers with the Lisa Leizman Dance Company - Tuesday, March 06
    The Lisa Leizman Dance Company invites young people to a special event in the ballroom at the Center for the Arts. Expect to be treated to lively music, colorful costumes and an interactive performance that revolves around the question, “What Is Dance?”

  • The Gaslight Tinkers: Barn Dance and World Music Jam Concert - Thursday, March 08
    Introducing The Gaslight Tinkers! A spoonful of afro-pop, a pinch of jam band, a teaspoon of funk, two cups New England fiddle tunes, mix it up and you got another Valley creation. Veteran mandolin, guitar, banjo player and singer songwriter Peter Siegel has joined forces with the Alchemystics’ founder and bass player Garrett Sawyer to shake things up in Noho. Joined by percussionists and local fiddler Zoe Darrow, they will be hosting a barn dance/concert in the ballroom. Dancers welcome, listeners welcome. Adina Gordon will be calling barn dances throughout the night.
